An internet experiment

Welcome to my very first blog post!

I’m sure that many of you have come across webpages that mention things like “How to earn more money and work less”, or “How I make $10.000 each day”, or “Easily grow your income” or “Make money while you sleep”…. Should I continue? The many internet blogs about making money online, all sound very nice, too good to be true in fact. And probably few out there actually do make lots of money, those lucky souls have found ways to make money within the comfort of their own home. However, it will certainly also be true that many others can’t even afford a restaurant visit with their passive earnings.

Having said that, I don’t actually know. Maybe it’s extremely easy to do, maybe it doesn’t take hours and hours of work, maybe it all comes automatically once you find the right niche market or tools.

There’s only one way to find out: let’s test it. So I decided to start an experiment to see if it’s possible to generate a passive income at all on the internet. I was wondering if everybody could generate a passive income or if it’s just for those people that are lucky and live in the right place or know the right people. To cut a long story short, I decided to put aside some money and some of my spare time to see if it’s possible at all to generate a decent passive income after a certain amount of time. I’ll be keeping track of what I spent, both money and time wise.

If it fails, it just fails. That would be a perfect possible outcome of an experiment. If it succeeds, let’s see where we end up. One thing is sure: I could certainly use some help along the way!
